Launching a new website platform for an ambitious regional Football Club

Ashford United FC are a Football Club playing in the Isthmian League South East league. Ashfords ambitious new owners wanted to elevate their digital presence with a professional standard website fit to showcase the club’s new ambitious direction.

Delivering a scaleable, automated and efficient platform to deliver increased visibility, commercial opportunity and fan engagement.

Working with the club we created a project plan to deliver a best in class website that highlighted both the football and non-playing elements of Ashford United FC. The plan involved liaising with various stakeholders from the club from owners to managers and club staff to truly portray the club’s essence online.

We worked with club photographer to gather assets from across club channels to ensure the website was modernised with up to date content showcasing the current playing squad and management team. Alongside this we worked on commercial aspects with the management team including dedicated content blocks across the site as well as the introduction of a club shop.

Alongside significant improvements in website look & feel, the website has had a significant improvement in mobile focus. This is helping to ensure the website ranks well when users are searching for the club on mobile devices and helps mobile usability.

Increase in visitor engagement and an increase in organic rankings in Google following the website launch

Since launching the new website the website optimisation score has significantly improved with an increase of daily visits, average time on site and engaged visitors. Not only has the improvement resulted in increased website traffic the website ranks for over 500 unique Google search results.
